Research Interests

Christian Carletti works on the history of science and technology in nineteenth century Europe, with a particular interest in the processes of exchange and interaction among techno-scientific development, business ambitions and social transformation. Current research mainly focuses on the history of electricity. He has also been working on the history of medical technologies, scientific instruments, patenting practices.
